2. Quantities of plant material shown in the Plant Materials Schedule do not necessarily <br /> represent the total numbers of plants that will be required. The Contractor shall make <br /> his/her own takeoff from the drawings and determine the quantities of each plant <br /> necessary to complete the work. <br /> E. Water: The Contractor shall make,at his/her expense,whatever arrangements may be <br /> necessary to ensure an adequate supply of water to complete the work as specified. <br /> 1. Furnish all necessary hose,equipment,attachments,and accessories for the adequate <br /> irrigation of lawns and planted areas as may be required to complete the work as <br /> specified. <br /> 2.3 SOURCE QUALITY CONTROL <br /> A. Inspection: <br /> 1. Plants shall be subject to inspection and approval by the Architect at place of growth, <br /> and upon delivery for conformity with project specifications as to quality,size and <br /> variety. Such approval shall not impair the right of inspection and rejection upon <br /> delivery at the project site or during the progress of the work for size and condition of <br /> balls or roots,diseases,insects,and latent defects or injuries. The Contractor shall <br /> remove rejected plants immediately from the project site. <br /> 2. The Contractor shall be responsible for all inspection and approval of plant material <br /> that may be required by State,Federal and other authorities and shall secure any <br /> permits and certificates that may be required. <br /> 3. Any inspection certificates required by law shall be filed with the Architect. <br /> B. Verification of Performance <br /> 1. General: Ship soil and amendments as specified with suppliers receipt certifying <br /> proportions and quality. <br /> 2. Substitutions: If a specified product is not obtainable,submit to the Architect proof <br /> of non-availability and a recommendation for use of equivalent material. <br /> 3. No plants other than the required samples shall be dug or delivered to the site until <br /> the required inspections have been made and the plants or samples are approved. <br /> PART 3 EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 EXAMINATION <br /> A. The Contractor shall verify that all existing conditions and proposed conditions by other <br /> disciplines are as shown on the drawings.
