SECTION 15488 <br /> NATURAL GAS PIPING SYSTEMS <br /> PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> 1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br /> A. Requirements of the following Division 15 Sections apply to this section: <br /> 1. "Basic Mechanical Requirements." <br /> 2. "Basic Mechanical Materials and Methods." <br /> 1.2 SUMMARY <br /> A. This Section includes piping,specialties,and accessories for natural gas systems within <br /> the building and to the gas meters. <br /> B. This Section includes piping,specialties,and accessories for natural gas systems within <br /> the building and to a point indicated. <br /> C. Approximate values of natural gas that will be supplied for these systems are the <br /> following: <br /> 1. Heating Value: 1000 Btu/cu.ft. <br /> 2. Specific Gravity: 0.6. <br /> 3. Service Line Pressure: Verify with local gas utility <br /> 4. Firm gas shall be supplied to the building at 2 psi pressure. <br /> D. Medium-Pressure Natural Gas Piping System: Operating at pressure greater than 0.5 psig, <br /> but not greater than 2 psig. <br /> C.
