SECTION 01030 <br /> ALTERNATES <br /> PART 1 GENERAL <br /> 1.1 GENERAL INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. Contractor shall submit an alternate price for each Alternate. Submit each alternate price <br /> as an individual cost change to the base bid sum. (Not accumulative). <br /> B. Where an Alternate might possibly involve another Alternate, depending on acceptance, <br /> consider each Alternate as a change to the stipulated contract sum, with no considerations <br /> for other Alternates. In the event of overlapping omissions or inclusions in more than one <br /> accepted Alternate, the cost of the Alternate will be adjusted by Change Order. <br /> C. The Owner reserves the right to reject all Alternates. The Owner will accept Alternates in <br /> any order regardless of(in the numerical)order in which they are listed. <br /> D. Under each Alternate, include the work of all trades for the Contract as they may be <br /> affected and make all adjustments to accommodate the changes. In executing the work, <br /> make provisions for future completion,unless otherwise specified. <br /> E. Owner reserves the right to delay decisions on Alternates and to accept or reject Alternates <br /> within 30 days after bid date unless longer Alternate time frames are indicated. <br /> PART 2 ALTERNATES <br /> 2.1 ALTERNATE NO. 1: Contractor to provide a price to delete the asphalt wear course and <br /> tack coat as per Section 02500. <br /> 2.2 ALTERNATE NO. 2: Contractor to provide a price to delete shell locker rooms(refer to <br /> hatched area on sheet A201 for scope of deduct alternate). Delete the following in hatched <br /> area: masonry partitions, doors and frames, metal toilet partitions and toilet accessories, <br /> wood benches and supporting metal angles, acrylic plaster ceiling finish and backer board. <br /> 2.3 ALTERNATE NO. 3: Contractor to provide a price to delete interior painting. Delete all <br /> painting of structural steel, metal deck CMU walls, precast panel walls in Arena area north <br /> of grid C. <br /> 2.4 ALTERNATE NO. 4: Contractor to provide a price to delete Kalwall translucent panels <br /> and frames(8 thus). Delete openings in precast wall panel at these locations. <br /> 2.5 ALTERNATE NO. 5: Contractor to provide a price to delete all lighting fixtures, wall <br /> switches, receptacle outlets, and fire alarm devices in Rooms 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and <br /> 25.
