The review is based upon the supposition that the data on which the design is <br /> based are correct, and that necessary legal authority has been obtained to construct the project. The responsibility <br /> for the design of structural features and the efficiency of equipment must be taken by the project designer. <br /> Approval is contingent upon satisfactory disposition of any requirements included in this report. Special care <br /> should be taken to insure that the material and installation of the plumbing system are in accordance with the <br /> provisions of the Minnesota Plumbing Code. A copy of the approved plans,specifications,and this Report on <br /> Plans must be retained at the project location for future reference. <br /> INSPECTIONS: All plumbing installations must be tested and inspected in accordance with the requirements of <br /> the Minnesota Plumbing Code. As specified in Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2830, no plumbing work may be <br /> covered prior to completing the required tests and inspections. Provisions must be made for applying an air test at <br /> the time of the roughing-in inspection as outlined in Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2820, subpart 2,of the code. A <br /> manometer test, as specified in Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2820, subpart 3, is required at the time of the finished <br /> plumbing inspection. It is the responsibility of the contractor/installer to notify the Minnesota Department of Labor <br /> and Industry when an installation for a state contract job, Minnesota Department of Health licensed healthcare <br /> facility, or project in an area where there is no local administrative authority is ready for an inspection and test. Changes in direction in drainage piping must be made by appropriate use of wyes and bends. Sanitary tees <br /> are not allowed where the direction of flow changes from either vertical to horizontal or horizontal to <br /> horizontal(see Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2410). <br /> 2. In all buildings other than dwellings, shutoff valves shall be installed which permit the water supply to all <br /> equipment in each separate room or to each individual fixture to be shut off without interference with the <br /> water supply to any other portion of the building(see Minnesota Rules,part 4715.1800, subpart 6). <br /> 3. Water supply connections to fixtures or equipment which have submerged inlets, or inlets below the spill line <br /> of the fixture or equipment, must be provided with an air gap arrangement, approved backflow preventer or <br /> backflow preventer assembly as specified in Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2000 and part 4715.2010. All <br /> equipment and handheld hoses must comply with this requirement also. <br /> 4.
