Zum Industries Inc;Hydromechanics Div. <br /> 2.02 ABOVE GROUND DRAINAGE AND VENT PIPE AND FITTINGS <br /> A. Hubless cast-iron soil pipe. Conform to ASTM A888 and/or CISPI Standard 301, Service weight, cast-iron soil <br /> pipe and fittings,with clamps and gaskets conforming to CISPI Standard 310. <br /> B. For buildings over one floor and not more than 50 feet in height: Hubless couplings shall be heavy duty type,304 <br /> stainless steel band with four stainless steel clamps and shall be capable of holding 20 psi pressure, with <br /> unrestrained pipe. If pressure requirement cannot be met,pipe shall be restrained as per CISPI Standards. <br /> 2.03 UNDERGROUND BUILDING DRAIN PIPE AND FITTINGS <br /> A. (SV)Hub and Spigot Cast Iron Soil Pipe and Fittings. Conform to ASTM ASTMA 74 for pipe. Piping shall be <br /> joined with neoprene gaskets which conform to ASTM C564. <br /> A. PVC sewer pipe and fittings. Conform to ASTM D2665 for pipe and fittings with solvent welded joints using <br /> solvents conforming to ASTM D2564. Drivers must conform to NSF 4.No.14. <br /> 2.04 DRAINAGE PIPING SPECIALTIES <br /> A. Backwater Valves: Valve assembly shall be bronze fitted cast-iron, with bolted cover. Flapper shall provide a <br /> maximum 1/4"clearance between flapper and seat for air circulation. Valve ends shall suit piping material. <br /> B. Expansion Joints: Cast-iron body with adjustable bronze sleeve,bronze bolts with wing nuts. <br /> C. Cleanout Plugs: Cast-bronze or brass,threads complying with ANSI B2.1,countersunk head. <br /> D. Floor Cleanouts: Cast-iron body and frame,with cleanout plug and adjustable nickel bronze or brass top,and inside <br /> caulk outlet. <br /> E. Wall Cleanouts: Cast-iron body adaptable to pipe with cast-bronze or brass cleanout plug, stainless steel cover <br /> including screws. <br /> F. Flashing Flanges: Cast-iron watertight stack or wall sleeve with membrane flashing ring. Provide underdeck clamp <br /> and sleeve length as required. <br /> PART 3: EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 EXAMINATION <br /> A. Verify all dimensions by field measurements. Verify that all drainage piping and specialties may be installed in <br /> accordance with pertinent codes and regulations,the original design,and the referenced standards. <br /> B. Verify all existing grades,inverts,utilities,obstacles and topographical conditions prior to installations. <br /> C.
