DIVISION 1 <br /> ' CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT <br /> 01400- QUALITY CONTROL- <br /> TESTING SERVICES <br /> B. Inspection of Work by Others: Each Contractor shall inspect Work of others <br /> ' which will receive or is adjacent to his Work before commencing his Work. <br /> Do not proceed until conditions which would result in a less than first class <br /> installation are satisfactorily corrected. Commencing Work shall be construed <br /> ' as acceptance of the Work of others, by the Contractor, as satisfactory to <br /> receive his Work. The Contractor shall bear all costs to correct the <br /> unsatisfactory Work. <br /> 8. COOPERATION WITH TESTING LABORATORY <br /> A. Representatives of the testing laboratory shall have access to the Work at all <br /> times. Provide facilities for such access in order that the laboratory may <br /> properly perform its function. <br /> B. Specimens and samples for testing, unless otherwise provided in the Contract <br /> Documents, will be taken by the testing personnel. Sampling equipment and <br /> ' personnel will be provided by the testing laboratory. Deliveries of specimens <br /> and samples to the testing laboratory will be performed by the testing <br /> laboratory. <br /> C. Test results and reports shall be furnished simultaneously to the Engineer (2 <br /> copies) and the Construction Manager(1 copy) within one week of testing. <br /> 9. TESTING SCHEDULE <br /> ' A. The Owner shall pre-qualify and identify qualified independent inspection <br /> agencies in a timely manner, allowing Engineer adequate time for review and <br /> approval. <br /> B. Special Structural Testing Schedule to be implemented per specifications. <br /> C. When changes of construction schedule are necessary during construction, the <br /> Construction Manager shall coordinate such changes of.schedule with the <br /> testing laboratory as required. <br /> 1 D.
