DIVISION 1 <br /> CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT ' <br /> 01400- QUALITY CONTROL - <br /> TESTING SERVICES <br /> B. Promptly respond to test reports and related instructions to ensure necessary ' <br /> retesting and replacement of materials with the least possible delay in progress <br /> of the Work. <br /> 4. FIELD CONDITIONS r <br /> A. The Contractor shall take field measurements and verify field conditions and <br /> shall carefully compare such field measurements and conditions with the <br /> Contract Documents and any shop drawings and product data before <br /> commencing any related work. Errors, inconsistencies or omissions shall be <br /> reported to the Construction Manager and the Architect at once. <br /> 5. PAYMENT FOR TESTING <br /> A. Initial Services: The Owner's Testing Laboratory shall be responsible for <br /> initial testing services as outlined in various sections and Section 7.7 of the <br /> General Conditions. <br /> B. Re-Testing Services: When initial tests indicate non-compliance with the <br /> Contract Documents, all subsequent retesting occasioned by the non- <br /> compliance shall be performed by the same testing agency and the costs <br /> thereof will be borne by the Contractor responsible for the work that is non- <br /> compliant. <br /> 6. TESTING <br /> A. Code Compliance Testing: Inspections and tests required by codes or <br /> ordinances, or by a plan approval authority, and which are made by a legally <br /> constituted authority, shall be the responsibility of and shall be paid for by the <br /> Contractor,unless otherwise provided in the Contract Documents. <br /> B. Contractor's Convenience Testing: Inspecting and testing performed <br /> exclusively for the Contractor's convenience shall be the sole responsibility of <br /> the Contractor. <br /> 7. INSPECTION <br /> A.
