DIVISION 1 <br /> 1 CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT <br /> 01400- QUALITY CONTROL- <br /> TESTING SERVICES <br /> 1. GENERAL <br /> ' A. Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including General and <br /> Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 Specification Sections apply to this <br /> ' Section. <br /> B. This section specifies the general requirements for testing and inspection <br /> services. <br /> C. Cooperate with Owner's testing laboratory and all others responsible for <br /> testing and inspecting the Work. <br /> D. Provide other testing and inspecting as specified to be furnished by the <br /> Contractor in this Section and/or elsewhere in these Specifications. <br /> E. Provide quality control by the observation and acceptance of work by others <br /> being built upon. <br /> F. Related work described elsewhere: <br /> 1. Requirements for testing are described in Divisions 2, 3, 4 and 5 product <br /> sections of these Specifications. <br /> i2. Where no testing requirements are described, but the Construction <br /> Manager decides that testing is required, he may direct that such testing be <br /> performed under current standards for testing and Section 7.7 of the <br /> General Conditions. <br /> G. Selection of testing laboratory: The Owner shall hire and pay for an <br /> independent testing laboratory. <br /> 2. CODES AND STANDARDS <br /> A. Testing, when required, will be in accordance with pertinent codes and <br /> regulations and with selected standards of the American Society for Testing <br /> and Materials. <br /> 3. REVIEW OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br /> A. On all Project Drawings, figures take precedence over measurement by scale, <br /> ' and any scaling is done at the Contractor's own risk.
