DIVISION 0 <br /> ' CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT <br /> 00800 -SUPPLEMENTARY <br /> CONDITIONS <br /> undermining or creating pressure on the construction; pumping of water from <br /> ' work areas and excavations of this Contract, and spaces built, constructed or <br /> opened up under the Contract, and if necessary, installing temporary heat to <br /> keep the spaces dry; providing protection and planking on finished floors and <br /> other finished surfaces where work is being done by the Contractor or <br /> subcontractors; closing and protecting all holes or openings through walls, <br /> floors and roofs that are cut or built by the Contractor or subcontractors; and <br /> which will admit water to interior spaces during the construction period or will <br /> create a potential safety hazard; removal of snow to accomplish the Work; <br /> keeping premises in neat and orderly condition; eliminating fire hazards. <br /> ' 10.4.5 As may be applicable to the Project and to his Work, the Contractor shall be <br /> responsible for the following; providing safe and adequate stairways (temporary <br /> ' and permanent) for the use of all trades; maintaining access to the site; proper <br /> protection by heating of an enclosed building during cold weather; protection for <br /> tress and other similar features, which are to remain, from damage from <br /> ' operations in connection with Project, by boxing tree trunks and setting up <br /> barricades at sufficient distance to prevent damage to branches; the removal of <br /> accumulated snow and ice within a building, which generally shall be hauled out <br /> ' (not melted), unless it is a minor amount, as approved by Architect/Construction <br /> Manager. <br /> 10.4.6 The Contractor and each subcontractor shall provide storage and enclosures to <br /> protect and preserve the materials stored at and off the site. Materials such as <br /> wood, metal, cement, masonry materials, equipment of any type, conduit and <br /> ' similar materials, shall not be set directly on ground. Coverings shall be <br /> durable, watertight, fully cover sides as well as top, substantial and well <br /> anchored to prevent blowing away. Shed type enclosures shall be provided for <br /> ' easily damaged and small items. Any protection which becomes damaged shall <br /> be replaced immediately. Contractor's storage shall be reviewed and accepted <br /> by the Construction Manager, as it relates to site coordination. <br /> ' 1.1...
