Section includes: <br /> 1. Firestopping of openings,joints and penetrations in rated walls and floors. <br /> B. Related work specified in other sections: <br /> 1. Firestopping of penetrations for mechanical or electrical equipment-Divisions 15, 16. <br /> 1.03 REFERENCES <br /> A. Fire Resistive Directory,Underwriters Laboratories Inc., 1989. <br /> 1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Single Source Responsibility: For each firestopping application,provide all materials from a single manufacturer. <br /> B. Fire Performance Characteristics: Provide materials and construction listed by Underwriters Laboratories for <br /> hourly rating requirements indicated,and acceptable to authorities having jurisdiction. <br /> 1.05 PRODUCT DELIVERY,STORAGE,AND HANDLING <br /> A. Deliver product in manufacturer's original unopened packages with labels legible,intact. <br /> B. Identify manufacturer,brand name,model,size,finish,location of installation. <br /> C. Store in unopened packages in protected dry,heated area to prevent damage. <br /> 1.06 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Submit product data indicating contents of fireproofing products,including information showing that no asbestos is <br /> contained in product. <br /> B. Submit appropriate product literature with UL test numbers for appropriate rating to be achieved. <br /> PART 2: PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURERS <br /> A. Systems by 3M are specified.
