D. Keep steel forms heated by sun and wood forms in contact with concrete during final curing period wet. If forms <br /> are to be removed during curing period,employ one of specified curing materials or methods immediately. <br /> E. When mean daily temperature of atmosphere is less than 50°F,maintain the temperature of concrete between 50°F <br /> and 60°F for curing period. Make the arrangements for heating, covering, insulating or housing concrete work in <br /> advance of placement and maintain required temperature and moisture conditions without injury due to <br /> concentration of heat. Vent all fuel-burning heaters. <br /> F. During hot weather,make arrangements for installation of windbreaks,shading,fog spraying,sprinkling,ponding or <br /> wet covering in advance of placement and take such protective measures as quickly as concrete hardening and <br /> finishing operations will allow. <br /> G. Changes in temperature of concrete shall be as uniform as possible and shall not exceed 5°F in any 1 hour or 50°F <br /> in any 24 hour period. <br /> 3.07 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL <br /> A. Special Structural Testing and Inspection <br /> 1. Special Structural Testing and Inspection shall be performed by qualified parties as specified herein, and in <br /> accordance with the provision of Section 01410. <br /> 2. Personnel Qualifications: ' <br /> a. Special Inspector-Technical: <br /> 1.) Technical I - ACI Certified Grade I Technician. Inspector shall be employed by a testing <br /> laboratory,under the direct supervision of a registered civil/structural engineer. <br /> 2.) Technical II - ACI Certified Grade II Inspector. Inspector shall be employed by a testing <br /> laboratory,under the direct supervision of a registered civil/structural engineer. <br /> 3.) Technical III-A civil/structural engineer regularly engaged in this type of work,with a initnnm of <br /> 4 years experience and registered in the State in which the project is located and is an employee of a <br /> qualified and approved testing laboratory. The registered engineer shall review and approve all <br /> reports. <br /> b. Special Inspector-Structural: <br /> 1.) Structural I - Graduate civi/structinal engineer, or other personnel acceptable to the Structural <br /> Engineer of Record (SER), with the experience in the design of structural systems of this type. <br /> Inspection shall be performed under the direct supervision of a registered civil/structural engineer. <br /> 2.} Structural II-Civil/structural engineer regularly engaged in the design of structural systems of this <br /> type,registered in the state in which the project is located. The registered engineer shall review and <br /> approve all inspection reports. <br /> 3. The Owner will employ a Special Inspector for the following inspections: <br /> a. Tests for cast in place concrete. Qualifications: Technical I. <br /> 1.) Prepare compression test specimens(ASTM C31),one set of four standard cylinders of concrete for <br /> each compressive strength test.
