<br /> 7. The lavatories must have an ASSE 1070 or CSA B125.3 mixing valve limiting the hot water temperature to
<br /> 110 degrees Fahrenheit or less(see Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714, Section 421.2).
<br /> 8. Water closets must have elongated bowls with either open-front seats or automatic seat cover dispensers
<br /> (see Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4714, Section 411.0).
<br /> 9. A cleanout must be provided near the connection between the building drain and the building sewer(see
<br /> Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4714, Section 719.1).
<br /> 10. Cleanout openings may not be smaller than required in Table 707.1 (see Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4714,
<br /> Section 707.10). A cleanout must be installed where there is an increase in pipe size from 2 inches to
<br /> 3 inches and from 3 inches to 4 inches.
<br /> 11. Each horizontal drain branch, including floor drain branches, shall be provided with a cleanout at its upper
<br /> terminal(see Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714, Section 707.4).A cleanout may be omitted if the drain
<br /> branch line is less than five feet,unless the drain serves sinks or urinals.
<br /> 12. Cleanouts must be provided at intervals not to exceed 100 feet for forcemain sewers(see Minnesota Rules,
<br /> Chapter 4714, Section 707.11 and 719.0).
<br /> 13. PVC sanitary sewers must meet one of the following ASTM Standards: D1785,D2665,D3034,F789,F794,
<br /> F891,F949,or F1488 (see Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714,Table 701.1 and Installation Standard 1).
<br /> Fittings must comply with ASTM D 1866, D2665, or F794 respectively. Joints must be approved
<br /> mechanical or push-on utilizing an elastomeric seal,or solvent welded using ASTM F656 purple primer and
<br /> ASTM D2564 solvent cement. The installation must comply with ASTM D2321,which requires open-
<br /> trench installation on a continuous granular bed.
<br /> 14. PVC drain,waste,and vent systems shall comply with Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4714,Table 701.1, Section
<br /> 705.7,and Installation Standard 9:
<br /> a. Pipe must meet ASTM D1785,D2665,F891, or F1488.
<br /> b. Fittings must comply with ASTM D2665,D1866, or D3311.
<br /> c. Joints must be mechanical or push-on utilizing an elastomeric seal, or solvent welded using ASTM
<br /> F656 purple primer and ASTM D2564 solvent cement. Schedule 80 pipe may be threaded.
<br /> 15. Cross-link polyethylene(PEX)water service or water distribution systems must meet Minnesota Rules,
<br /> Chapter 4714, Section 605.10 and Table 604.1:
<br /> a. The tubing must comply with ASTM F876,ASTM F877,or CSA B137.5. AWWA C904 PEX may be
<br /> used for cold water applications only(see Table 604.1).
<br /> b. ASTM F876 tubing must be marked with the standard of the fittings to be utilized.
<br /> c. The fittings must be marked with ASSE 1061,ASTM F877,ASTM F1807,ASTM F1960,ASTM
<br /> F1961,ASTM F2080,ASTM F2159,ASTM F2735, or CSA B137.5.
<br /> 16. Pipe hangers and supports shall comply with Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714, Section 313.0,Table 313.1,
<br /> and the applicable installation standard.
<br /> 17. The plumbing system shall be tested in accordance with Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714, Sections 609.4,
<br /> 712.0, and 1109.0.
<br /> 18. The water distribution system shall be disinfected per Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4714, Section 609.9.
