Carry down shorinq and bracing as excavation progresses. <br /> DewaterinQ: Prevent surface water and subsurface or ground water from flowin� into � <br /> excavations and from flooding project site and surrounding area. <br /> Do not allow water to accumulate in excavations. Do not use trench excavations as temporary drainage <br /> ditches. � <br /> Material StoraAe: Stockpile satisfactory excavated materials where directed, until ' <br /> required for backfill or fill. Place, grade and shape stockpiles for proper drainage. <br /> Locate and retain soil materials away from edge of excavations. Do not store within ' <br /> drip line of trees indicated to remain. <br /> Dispose of excess soil material and waste materials as herein specified. � ' <br /> Excavation for structures: Conform to elevations and dimensions shown within a <br /> tolerance of plus or minus 0.10', and extending a sufficient distance from footinqs and ' <br /> foundations to permit placing and removal of concrete formwork, <br /> other construction, and foc inspection. <br /> In excavatinq for footin�s and foundations, take care not to disturb bottom of ' <br /> excavation. Excavate by hand to final grade just before concrete reinfo�cement is <br /> placed. Trim bottoms to required lines and grades to leave solid base to receive other <br /> work. � <br /> Excavation for Pavements: Cut surface under pavements to comply with cross-sections, <br /> elevations and �rades as shown. ' <br /> Excavation for Trenches: Dig trenches to the uniform width required for particular item <br /> to e insta e , su iciently wide to provide ample working room.
