i Y

Cuetom Home, Inc
has submitted a report, which is on file with the City, that the filling on the Property has not impacted
the septic sites. Soil verifications had previously been done and approved for the septic site areas, as of
September 26, 2014.
After laying out the house on the site, establishing the wetland buffer of 25' as required by the
Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (both on-site and on the survey), and indicating the Septic Setback
of 50', as required by the City, we are finding that, not only do we have minimal area for a primary site,
but no adequate area for an alternate site.
As described in the attached letter from Dale Denn, the septic designer, we have done a considerable
amount of field and office analysis to arrive at the best solution for wastewater management. Not only
has he increase the absorption field to a 5 bedroom design (the house is a 4 bedroom), but also increased
the depth of the sand bed and added a timer to effectively regulate the water flow to the mound system.
We find that the reasons listed above and in the attached letter from the septic designer constitute a
hardship on this particular lot and ask that the Variance be granted. If there is anything else you require,
please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
' .
Joe Mailhot
Denali Custom Homes, Inc.
18352 Minnetonka Blvd.
Deephaven, MN 55391
Cell: 763.452.8347
Email:joem@denalicustomhomes.com
