I saw it and <br /> tried to get a logical reason as to why the <br /> planning commission was acting as it was and don ' t <br /> feel as I received any. As I look at the problem <br /> there was a use on the corner that no one wanted to <br /> admit to but was occurrinq and the use at least for <br /> the last few years was being used by no one except <br /> tresspassers . Now �ahen I asked the City Staff as to <br /> why a parking area or why recognition by the City <br /> would be rationale , I guess I got no response <br /> because at that time there was no fishing access to <br /> the lake and so what reason can you use it except <br /> for tresspassing . Since that planning meeting <br /> now there is being proposed a right of access so <br /> that I guess will fill the logical gap that was <br /> missing that now there is a reason , mainly fishing <br /> rights and we are not promoting just tresspasser <br /> use but we are promoting fishermans use . Now <br /> there are reasons and I think the citizens here and <br /> members of the council have given why that should <br /> or should not be used , apparently the DNR comes <br /> into play here but also apparently there is a use <br /> of city funds . If the city is going to finally <br /> face up and say yes we are responsible for the <br /> corner they can no longer neglect responsibility <br /> i f an accident was to occur , they must accept the <br /> responsibility for what must occur from here on <br /> out . I think the council has at least taken the <br /> position that they are going to be the ones to <br /> expect to excercise responsibility over the area <br /> and I applaud you for that. I think what is next <br /> to be done is to decide whether or not the use <br /> should be promoted , discarded , or expanded . Now <br /> I guess what I have heard from the citizens , it <br /> seems to me that what they are afraid of is <br /> expanded use . The logic of I guess , the problem <br /> of what I am having with your reason is that it has <br /> been used in the past and you can ' t restrict and it <br /> will be continued used for tresspassers you might <br /> as well leave it open , would lead to the fear of the <br /> citizenshavethatitwillbeeventuallyexpanded , <br /> bec�use when we find out that the tresspassing <br /> doesn ' t stop with limited use the only rationale <br /> way to deal with the problem is to expand it <br /> further under that type of reasoning . So I guess <br /> I still don' t see , unless it is a political reason , <br /> political pressuresfrom the DNR, what ---------- <br />
