Page 22 <br /> RFSOLUTION N0. 1986 <br /> RESOLUTION CONCERNING JOINT INDEPENDENT SCHOOL <br /> DISTRICT N0. 287 SIX YEAR BUILDING PLAN-WEST CAMPUS <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wayzata has been alerted that <br /> the District No. 287 F�cecutive Board has adopted a six year building plan <br /> which includes $�+8 million for construction of a West Campus in Medina, and <br /> WHEREAS, pro�ections for population and enrollment have changed considerably <br /> since West Campus plans were first proposed, and , <br /> WHEREAS, costs for infrastructures supporting the proposed campus as well <br /> as for the building of the campus itself have escalated substantially, and <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed campus site lies beyond planned growth areas for <br /> the six year building plan period, and <br /> WHEREA�S, �urisdictions required to provide city services to the facility <br /> are not prepared to do so within the time frame proposed which would cause <br /> substantial sewer, transportation, police, fire and other service deficiencies. <br /> NOW BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Wayzata, Minnesota <br /> that based on projected population and enrollment as well as traffic and service <br /> deficiencies associated with the proposed West Campus of District 287 that the <br /> District reexamine its pro�ections and costs for constructing a West Campus in <br /> Medina. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a more detailed cost/benefit study on the <br /> facility be made prior to going forward with West Campus plans. <br /> Adopted by the City Council this 2qth day of April , 1980, <br /> � <br /> .
