REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, MAY 12 , 1980 Page 23 Dick Benson, City Administrator, presented the NO PARKING* City Council with a memo prepared by John Gerhardson, East Long Lake Road Public Works Coordinator, dated May 7, 1980 , which states : Recently the City of Orono received a letter of complaint from a resident on East Long Lake Road. regarding a parking problem on a portion of East Long Lake Road. Police Chief Mel Kilbo and myself have physically inspected the area and have determined that a portion of East Long Lake Road should be posted "No Parking" . I have attached a resolution for approval . Council Meeting - May 12 , 1980 Hurr moved, Butler seconded, to adopt Resolution RESOLUTION #1149* #1149 , A Resolution Directing The Orono Public No Parking Works Department To Place No Parking Signs On A East Long Lake Road Portion Of East Long Lake Road. Motion, Ayes (4 ) - Nays (0) . Mayor Van Nest announced that the next Cable TV CABLE TV MEETING DATE* meeting will be held May 15 , 1980 at 7 : 30 P.M. May 15, 1980 Dick Benson, City Administrator, entered into the WILLOW DRIVE* record the following dated May 9 , 1980 , which Designation states: I will be meeting with the Metropolitan Council Transportation Systems Planning Commission Tuesday, May 13 , 1980 to formally request removal of the designation of Willow Drive as a minor arterial • and the termination of reconstruction of Hennepin County 116 from the north, south through Medina to Hennepin County 6 . Original plans were to reconstruct Willow Drive south to #146 . Council Meeting - May 12 , 1980 Hurr moved, Butler seconded, to approve the above memo concerning the designation of Willow Drive . Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . Hurr moved, Butler seconded, to approve the EMPLOYMENT * employment of Douglas Schmitt, temporary help Douglas Schmitt at the Orono Golf Course at $3 . 20 per hour effective May 17, 1980 .
