(Continued) Orono is only involved in attempting to encourage the cities to resolve the matter allowing the Maple Plain Waste Water Treatment Plant to function as it was designed for. The results of the meeting was that Medina and Maple ' Plain will work together and lower the culvert to its original grade . Orono will furnish a water jet to assist in the project, if needed. To further complicate matters, the DNR might require a permit because of draining of a wetlands. Determining if this is a wetlands, which is defined by the ordinary high water mark maintaining a level of water over a period of time, will be debated by the DNR and MWCC. In any event, the correction and maintaining of the culvert will be a Medina-Maple Plain function. Hurr moved, Butler seconded, to approve the SUMMARY OF RECEIPTS; et Summary of Receipts, Disbursements, and Balances , January - 1980 for the month of January, 1980 . Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . Hurr moved, Butler seconded, to approve the INZIESTMENTS* Investments as of March 31 , 1980 , as prepared March 31 , 1980 by Tom Kuehn, Finance Director. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . Dick Benson, City Administrator, presented the City CLOSE CHECKING AGCOUNZ Council with a memo prepared by Tom Kuehn, dated Liquor Account May 7, 1980 , which states: � The City has long maintained a separate checking account for the Liquor Fund. This has complicated reimbursement to the General Fund for certain expenditures or has necessitated the issuance of two checks for the payment of one bill (one check from the general bank account and one from the liquor account) . It has also made investing more complicated. , I am, therefore, requesting that Council authorize the closing of this account into the general bank account. ' (Continued)
