REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, MAY 12 , 1980 Page 16 <br /> Council Meeting - May 12 , 1980 CLOSE CHECKING ACCOUNT� <br /> (Continued) <br /> Hurr moved, Butler seconded, to adopt Resolution RESOLUTION #1147* <br /> #1147 , A Resolution To Close The Liquor Store Fund Liquor Fund <br /> Checking Account To The General Checking Account. <br /> Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br /> Hurr moved, Butler seconded, to award the bid to BID AWARD* <br /> Edwin Johnson Corporation for one Excel Hustler Garden Tractor <br /> Tractor with a front mount 72" mower attachment <br /> and one R.O.P.S. cab in an amount not to exceed <br /> $7 ,892 . Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br /> Dick Benson, City Administrator , entered into the SEWAGE DISPOSAL SITE* <br /> record the following dated May 8 , 1980 , which states: City of Orono <br /> The City Council requested information concerning <br /> the property owned by the City which accommodates <br /> the waste water treatment plant. <br /> The property consists of 40 . 45 acres excluding the <br /> access road. The buildable area of the land is <br /> seven acres or 180 . The remainder of the site, <br /> which is unbuildable is as follows: <br /> Effluent pond - 18 acres <br /> Marsh land - 15 acres <br /> The plant site and effluent pond are now being used <br /> by the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission but <br /> will be transferred back to the City sometime this <br /> year with an easement for their lift station, <br /> which is located within the fenced-in plant site. <br /> �he balance of the property is not within the Metro- <br /> politan Waste Control Commission' s domain and is <br /> now being used by the City. <br /> I will be meeting with MWCC officials at a later <br /> date when the interceptor is on stream. , <br /> Attached is a sketch of the area in question, also <br /> a letter from the Department of Natural Resources <br /> discussing a possible use of the effluent pond <br /> after the MWCC has terminated their use of the <br /> area, and also a copy of our agreement with the <br /> Metropolitan Waste Control Commission. <br /> Letter to Edward Feiler, DNR - dated May 8 , 1980 - <br /> Page 17 <br /> Letter from Edward Feiler, DNR - dated April 18 , <br /> 1980 - Pages 18 & 19 <br /> Sketch of Sewer Area - Page 20 <br />
