REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, FEBRUARY 11 , 1980 Page 13 Council Meeting - February 11, 1980 APPOINTMENTS • Planning Commission Massengale moved, Hurr seconded, to appoint (Continued) John Hammerel as Planning Commission Chairman and to reappoint Gregg Hannah as Planning Commission Vice-Chairman. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . The City Council reviewed the Summary of Receipts, SUMMARY OF RECEIPTS, Disbursements , & Balances for the month of etc. November, 1979. November, �979 Dick Benson, City Administrator, commented that we will modify our Summary of Receipts , Dis- bursements, & Balances report to show previous monthly investment balances. Mayor Van Nest moved, Paurus seconded, to approve SUMMARY OF RECEIPTS,* the Summary of Receipts, Disbursements , & Balances etc. for January through November 30, 1979 . Motion, January-November, 1979 Ayes (4) - Nays (0) , Dick Benson, City Administrator, presented the WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS* City Council with a memo from John Gerhardson, Public Works Coordinator, concerning seasonal weight restrictions, dated February 7, 1980 , which states: Attached is a list of recommended axle weight limit restrictions for each City street. The streets will be posted from March 15 through May 15 , 1980. The normal length of time that restrictions are in effect is related to weather conditions. Certain streets might be closed to school buses if a street becomes impassable. In the past several years, we have allowed solid waste haulers to continue their normal operations, limiting them to gross weight on any single axle of seven tons or 14,000 pounds. If a street shows signs of severe breakup, we will limit the solid waste haulers to smaller vehicles.
