REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, FEBRUARY 11, 1980 Page 12 <br /> Dick Benson, City Administrator, informed the PUBLIC HEARING DATE* <br /> City Council that a public hearing will be held Traffic Signal <br /> February 28, 1979 at 7: 30 P.M, at the Orono #12 & Old Crystal Bay ] <br /> Middle School leading to the construction of a <br /> signal at the Highway #12 and the Old Crystal <br /> Bay Road intersection next year. <br /> The District Assessor Glenn Hawkyard has reviewed <br /> the area and does recommend a survey be initiated <br /> for Parcels #1 & #2. <br /> We need to determine all right-of-way costs as <br /> soon as possible. Glenn Cook, City Engineer, <br /> will complete this as scheduled. <br /> Council Meeting - February 11, 1980 <br /> Mayor Van Nest moved, Paurus seconded, to <br /> approve the above information concerning the <br /> traffic signal at Highway #12 and the Old <br /> Crystal Bay Road. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br /> Mr. Hubertus Sarrazin, Vice President of Northern CABLE TV <br /> Operations, Mickelson Media, Inc. , presented his <br /> portfolio and discussed a cable TV proposal for <br /> the northern Lake Minnetonka area communities. <br /> Mayor Van Nest requested City Administrator Dick <br /> Benson to contact the following communities and <br /> arrange a communities meeting with them and <br /> Mr. W. D. Donaldson, State of Minnesota Cable <br /> Communications Board Administrator, to discuss <br /> Cable TV service ,territory, factors and criteria: <br /> Long Lake, Tonka Bay, Wayzata, Minnetonka Beach, <br /> Mound, Spring Park, and Minnetrista. <br /> Dick Benson, City Administrator, presented the APPOINTMENTS <br /> City Council with the following information Planning Commission <br /> dated February l, 1980, which states : <br /> Mr. John Hammerel, Planning Commission member, <br /> has agreed, if Council concurs, to accept the <br /> appointment of Planning Commission Chairman for <br /> 1980. <br /> Mr. Gregg Hannah, Planning Commission member, has <br /> agreed, if Council concurs, to retain the position <br /> of Vice-Chairman for 1980. <br /> Staff will be available to assist these Commission <br /> members, as well as all other Commission members, <br /> to lessen the work load that is necessary to <br /> evaluate applications and implement the decision <br /> making process. <br /> �Continued) <br />
