, .- , _ � �� <br /> ; ► � Page 45 <br /> PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE <br /> Since early 1976, th� Metropolitan Waste Control Corrunission (MWCC) <br /> �� has engaged in an extensive municipal wastewater pollution control <br /> ��f� planning effort for the seven-county metropolitan area. This program <br /> ���' is called 201 Facilities Planning, referring to Section 201 of the <br /> Federal Water Pollution Control Act of 1972. <br /> ' 201 Facilities Planning consists of some nine studies all aimed <br /> at planning what facilities will be necessary to meet expected water <br /> quality requirements and how to provide service for at least a 20 <br /> ' year period. <br /> ( MWCC pledged to keep the general publ �c, regulatory agencies and <br /> 1 ocal offi ci al s i nfo��rned as these s��di e� proaressed. As ;��� k�:et�t, <br /> several public meetings pertaining to the stud;es have already h�en <br /> held around the metropolitan area, including yeurs. The 201 si;udies <br /> have now progressed to a point where all alternatives are being <br /> assimilated �nto a Syste�nwide Facilities Plan. <br /> MWCC has sche�uled three �neetings in convenient locations around <br /> �he �etro area to inform the pu�lic about the final phas� of 2�1 <br /> Facilities Planning.
