Richard P4anthe, Engineer with Iiarza, to <br /> discuss their pronosed interceptor from the ?sanle <br /> Plain waste water treatment plant, east throuqh <br /> the heart of rural Orono to Long Lake. <br /> The results of this meeting were: <br /> The City of Orono does not approve of the i4etro- <br /> Politan �aaste Control Commission' s summarv report <br /> of the Southwest Facility Planning Study dated <br /> November, 1979, which recommends relievinq a <br /> se�•aer problem in a rural area and conveyinc� that <br /> problem through Orono' s rural area to Long Lake. <br /> The consensus of Orono staff, at this time, is to <br /> request upgrading of the P4a�le Plain waste water <br /> treatment plant. Other data will be forthcoming <br /> from the Metropolitan ��7aste Control Commiss�on. <br /> The following letter from (�lenn Cook, City Fngineer, <br /> to PZr. Paul Dietz , Metropolitan �aaste Control <br /> Commission dated �7anuary 7, 1980 states: <br /> "The City of Orono would like to hear from your <br /> office relative to our Septer.iber 27, 1979 letter. <br /> If there is a problem in making the chanc�es <br /> rec�uested or supplying the flow information, <br /> please contact this office or Richard Benson at <br /> the City of Orono.
