Of <br /> that ar.tount, $11, 202 was designated to be added <br /> to the P�innesota Housing Finance Agency Grant Fund. <br /> The PuiFA grant prograr.l allows low incor.ie Orono <br /> residents to apply for grants for rehabilitating <br /> their homes. In 1978 , the program was administered <br /> by Hennepin County. The procedure was very sir.lple <br /> in that Hennepin County would accept, process, and <br /> approve the application, notify the City of Orono <br /> of the amount owed to a contractor for services <br /> rendered. <br /> The City would reimburse the contractor and submit <br /> a warrent request to Hennepin County for reirtbursement. <br /> This was a well adr.iinistered program with Hennepin <br /> County submitting progress reports to us , therefore, <br /> letting us know how the monies were spent. <br /> - (Continued) <br />
