REGUY,AR MEETING OF TFiE ORONO COUNCIL, JUNE 15, 1978 Page 64 Dick Benson, City Administrator, presented the REFUND City Council with a memo from Tom Jacobs, Mound Plumbing Building Inspector, dated May 8, 1978, which states: On May 8, 1978, Roman Demarais of PSound Plumbing came to our office and picked up a plurmbing permit for 3884 Sunset Drive in Spring Park. Due to the confusion of adding PZedina to our inspections, an error was made. A refund should be made to D4ound Plumbing in the ar.mount � of $22 .50. Council Meeting - June 15, 1978 Butler moved, Paurus seconded, to approve a refund in the amount of $22. 50 for DZound Plumbing per the above memo. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . Dick Benson, City Administrator, informed the COUNCIL MEETING CHANGE City Council that since revising the Council meeting schedules from the second and fourth Psonday nights to the Thursday following the second and fourth Psondays (adopted in February of 1978 in order to accommodate the City Engineer for his Planning Commission meetings and hopefully increase staff time to review Planning Commission items) many problems have been caused. 1. Accounts payable problems 2. We have not increased staff time to review Planning Commission items. Everyone is scrambling to get on the Thursday night Council agenda which has already gone out. 3. Council attendance is poor. It is too difficult for a Council person to arrange his or her schedules when they are periodically out of town during the week. 4. Our Deputy Clerk, Alberta, and myself find it impossible to complete an agenda for the next Council meeting within three days, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of the week following a Council meeting. 5. Staff have limited time to prepare for agenda deadlines. At this writing, I have not been able to consult with Bruce D. P'lalkerson to determine his schedule and possible conflicts. (Continued)
