He explained it would be more costly to <br /> remodel the existing house than to build a new <br /> structure. He explained that a 12 ft. setback <br /> variance and a 21 ft. setback variance would be <br /> needed to build the house in the proposed location. <br /> Mr. & P4rs. Donald Gamble, 1205 Shoreline Drive, <br /> were present and indicated they were in favor of <br /> the new construction. <br /> The Planning Commission recommended approval of <br /> the following variances : <br /> 1. A 21 ft. side yard setback variance to the north <br /> 2. A 12 ft. setback variance to the west & east <br /> 3. A variance for the lot wdith and lot area <br /> Staff - April 4, 1978 <br /> Recommend approval per the Planning Commission <br /> recommendations plus City Engineer' s approval of <br /> septic system proposal prior to issuance of <br /> building permit. Note that soil appears black - <br /> soil borings will most likely be required for <br /> plan approval and lowest floor must be at MSL 932. 5 <br /> due to floodplain regulations. <br /> Council Pieeting - April 13, 1978 <br /> Butler moved, Pesek seconded, to approve the <br /> variances for N.C. McDonald, 1225 Shoreline <br /> Drive, per the Planning Commission recommendations - <br /> of P4arch 27, 1978. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br /> Mr. Alan Olson, City Planner, entered into the VARIANCE <br /> record the following information regarding a 3067 Farview Lane <br /> wetlands variance request of Betty Jean Buesgens, #359 <br /> 3067 Farview Lane, dated March 7, 1978 , which states: Betty J. Buesgens <br /> PZs. Buesgens is requesting approval for the erection <br /> of a bridge across a conservation marshland easement <br /> for access to Lake Minnetonka. The subject property <br /> is Lot 5, Block l, Farview Addition. (Continued) <br />
