Greg Frank, City Engineer, reviewed with the ON-SITE SEWAGE CODE <br /> City Council a preliminary draft of Orono' s On- <br /> • Site Sewage Treatment Code. <br /> � Pdayor Van Nest moved, Pesek seconded, to table <br /> � Orono' s On-Site Sewage Treatment Code item until <br /> the meeting of July 11, 1977, r4otion, Ayes (4) - <br /> � Nays (0) . <br /> � <br /> • Mr. Greg Frank, City Engineer, informed the City NORTH STAR MARINA , <br /> Council that he and staff and County Engineers Curbcut <br /> � are to meet Thursday, June 30, 1977 to review <br /> North Star Marina' s curbcut proposal. <br /> ` <br /> � Dick Benson, City Administrator, reviewed with SHADE TREE PROGRATI <br /> the City Council a proposed Shade Tree Program, <br /> � stating that: <br /> � The State of Minnesota has made available certain <br /> � funds to be used as grants to local units of <br /> government for shade tree disease control and <br /> � for planting of new shade trees. There are two <br /> types of grants available: Sanitation Grant and <br /> � Replanting Grant. <br /> � I. Sanitation Grant <br /> � This grant would be for the purpose of aiding the <br /> � City with the cost of the shade tree disease <br /> control program retroactive to January l, 1977. <br /> � Activities eligible for reimbursement include: <br /> diseased tree inspections, disease control tree <br /> � trimming, root graft control, tree removal, and <br /> • tree disposal. Also, any subsidies to private <br /> residential property owners (on less than five <br /> � acres) are eligible as part of this grant. <br /> � The State has estinated that 45 percent of our <br /> actual sanitation costs incurred will be reimbursed. <br /> � As the following sanitation budget indicates, we <br /> have estimated our sanitation costs to be $21, 571 <br /> • for 1977.
