CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTICIPATION IN THE 2014 STATE BOND <br />FUNDED MUNICIPAL I&I GRANT PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Legislature has appropriated funds to the Metropolitan Council for a <br />grant program to be administered by the Council for the purpose of providing grants to <br />municipalities for capital improvements to public municipal wastewater collection systems to <br />reduce the amount of inflow and infiltration to the Council's metropolitan sanitary sewer <br />disposal system (" UI Municipal Grant Program"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono submitted an application for grant funds and the Council <br />identified the City as a contributor of excessive inflow and infiltration to the Council's <br />metropolitan sanitary sewer disposal system and thus an eligible applicant for grant funds of <br />$29,136.00 under the UI Municipal Grant Program; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ORONO that this Council approves participation in the Municipal I&I Grant Program with the <br />Metropolitan Council. <br />ADOPTED by the Orono City Council this 12th day of September, 2016. <br />ATTEST: <br />Diane Tiegs, City Clerk <br />Lili McMillan, Mayor <br />
