Purpose. The purpose of this action item is to gain Council approval of a resolution to participate in <br />the MCES Municipal I&I Grant Program. <br />2. Background. The State of Minnesota has appropriated funds to the MCES for use in a Municipal I&I <br />reduction grant program. The City of Orono applied for this grant and was preliminarily allocated <br />$29,136.03. The grant money will be used to pay for work that was completed as part of the 2015-16 <br />CIDP sewer project. <br />3. Requirement. One of the requirements of the program is for the City to pass a resolution authorizing <br />participation in the program. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Consider a motion to adopt a resolution authorizing participation in the MCES Municipal I&I Grant <br />Program. <br />
