' <br /> � <br /> 7.1.6 Neither Engineer's authority to act under this Section 7 or elsewhere in the Contract <br /> Documents nor any decision made by Engineer in good faith either to exercise or not exercise such , <br /> authority shall give rise to any duty or responsibility of Engineer to Contractor, any Subcontractor, <br /> any manufacturer,fabricator, supplier or distributor, or any of their agents or employees or any other <br /> person performing any of the Work. ' <br /> 7.1.7 If a Resident Project Representative is assigned to the project, the purpose of his efforts shall <br /> be to provide a greater degree of assurance to the Owner that the Work is constructed in conformance � <br /> to the requirements of the Contract. The Resident Project Representative's efforts are for the benefit <br /> of the Owner alone. Neither his authority to act nor his decision to exercise or not exercise such <br /> authority shall give rise to any duty or responsibility to the Contractor, any Subcontractor, any ' <br /> manufacturer, fabricator, supplier or distributor, or any of their agents or employees or any other <br /> person perfornung any of the Work. The Resident Project Representatives authority shall not exceed <br /> limitations on Engineer's authority as set forth in the Contract Documents nor shall the Resident � <br /> Project Representative undertake any of the responsibilities of Contractor, Subcontractors, or <br /> Contractor's Superintendent. <br /> � <br /> 7.1.8 Whenever in the Contract Docurnents the terms "as ordered", "as directed", "as required", "as <br /> allowed", or terms of like effect or import are used, or the adjectives "reasonable", "suitable", <br />"acceptable", "proper", or "satisfactory", or adjectives of like effect or import are used to describe � <br /> requirements, direction, review or judgment of Engineer as to the Work, it is intended that such � <br /> requirements,direction,review or judgment will be solely to evaluate the Work for compliance with ' <br /> the Contract Documents. The use of any such term or adjective never indicates that Engineer shall I <br /> have authority to supervise or direct performance of the Work or authority to undertake responsibility <br /> contrary to the provisions of Paragraphs 7.1.9 or 7.1.10. ' � <br /> 7.1.9 Engineer will not be responsible for Contractor's means, methods, techniques, sequences or <br /> procedures of construction, or the safety precautions and programs incident thereto, and Engineer � � <br /> will not be responsible for Contr�ctor's failure to perform the Work in accordan�e with the Contract <br /> Documents. <br /> 7.1.10 Engineer will not be responsible for the acts or omissions of Contractor or of �n '' <br /> Y <br /> Subcontractors, or of the agents or employees of any Contractor or Subcontractor, ar nf an}� other <br /> persons at the site of otherwise performing any of the Work. � <br /> 7.2.
