 °
O O CITY of ORONO
 .
r • .-,.', . RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
 ' Gti, NO. 5
kESHO'
the location of the existing home on the Property and not created by
the Applicant.
d. The Applicant's request is reasonable and witl not alter the essential
character of the neighborhood and will result in minimal negative
 impact on adjacent properties.
e. The Applicant's request is in harmony with the purpose and intent of
the ordinance.
f. The proposed garage additions are consistent with the comprehensive
plan.
g. The proposal does not appear to alter the essential character of the
neighborhood.
h. The garage addition does not appear to adversely impact adjacent
properties.
4. The City Council has considered this application including the findings and
recommendations of the P{anning Commission, reports by City staff,
comments by the App(icant and the public, and the effect of the proposed
variance on the health, safety and welfare of the community as well as the
impact on properties in the vicinity.
5. The City Council finds that the conditions existing on this Property are peculiar
to it and do not apply generally to other property in this zoning district; that
granting the variance would not adversely affect traffic conditions, light, air nor
pose a fire hazard or other danger to neighboring property; would not merely
serve as a convenience to the Applicant, but is necessary to alleviate a
practical difficulty; is necessary to preserve a substantial property right of the
Applicant; and would be in keeping with the spirit and intent of the Zoning
Code and Comprehensive Plan of the City.
