1 <br /> July 24, 2002 Page 5 <br />' Hollander Residence Limited Structural Evaluation. <br /> MGI Commission#02162 <br /> for Mr. John Hollander <br />' REPAIRS DEFINED WITHIN THE CITY'S RESOLUTION WITH RESPONSES, continued: <br />' Interior <br /> City: "Provide code compliant windows to provide required amounts of light and ventilation." <br /> Response: The plastic covering over the existing windows will be removed. The existing windows will be repaired <br />� or replaced so that they are operable. Additional plastic may be added to the windows as part of the <br /> late fall winterization of the house, but will be installed with the intent that the plastic will be removed <br /> when the warmer weather arrives next spring. <br />� City: "Replace plaster in ceiling where needed." <br /> Response: The plaster will be removed in the few areas that the plaster is failing in the upper bedroom areas and <br /> replaced with either plaster or a combination of gypsum board and plaster to provide a stable interior <br />' finish. <br /> Plumbinq <br />� City: "Repair or replace bathroom sink with code compliant material. <br /> Response: The bathroom sink will be repaired or replaced to be code compliant. <br />' City: "Provide venting to meet Plumbing Code." <br /> Response: The entire plumbing system will be reviewed by a licensed plumber. Prices will be taken to have the <br /> plumbing system upgraded. Suggestions from the plumber witl be taken and discussed with the City for <br />' any options that may be available to Mr. Hollander. <br /> City: "Replace damaged and missing tiles and sanitize bathroom and kitchen." <br /> Response: Missing tiles are to be repaired/replaced and the bathroom and kitchen are to be sanitized. <br />' Heatinq <br />� City: "Replace missing doors and contract with a licensed mechanical contractor to evaluate the <br /> system and repair as needed." <br /> Response: It is the intention of Mr. Hollander to utilize the services of a licensed mechanical/electrical contractor to <br /> determine the type of heating/ventilating/air conditions systems to utilize within this residence. The <br />� existing central heating system will be removed and the existing electrical baseboard heating will be <br /> utilized either by itself or in conjunction with additional electrical baseboard heating or central heating <br /> system. The final systems will be presented to the city prior to installation. <br />' Electrical Svstem <br /> City: "Electrical system must be inspected by State Electrical Inspector and upgraded as required." <br />' Response: The electrical system was just recently upgraded. Some work will be performed on the electrical <br /> system as part of the other work that is needed to be performed, (heating/ventilating).
