MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />Monday, September 15, 2014 <br />6:30 o’clock p.m. <br />_____________________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />Page 8 of 59 <br /> <br /> <br />Curtis stated she has photographs from the site and from the neighbor depicting the vegetation. Curtis <br />stated she is not able to identify from the photographs the location of the stumps, but if the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission is to replace certain trees lakeward of the house, that should <br />be included in the motion. <br /> <br />Leskinen stated she does not know what type of vegetation to recommend for along the lakeshore outside <br />of native plantings. <br /> <br />Lemke stated Staff’s recommendation is submittal of a revised landscape plan. <br /> <br />Landgraver stated the neighbor has expressed some concerns and that Staff’s recommendations are <br />responsive to those. Landgraver commented he is glad the two neighbors are talking and attempting to <br />resolve the situation. <br /> <br /> <br />Landgraver moved, Schoenzeit seconded, to recommend approval of Application No. 14-3682, <br />James and Margaret Kelly, 1855 Concordia Street, granting of an after-the-fact conditional use <br />permit, subject to Staff’s recommendations outlined on Page 4 of Staff’s report dated <br />September 10, 2014. VOTE: Ayes 6, Nays 0. <br /> <br />3. #14-3683 IRWIN JACOBS, 1700 SHORELINE DRIVE, AND RODNEY BURWELL, 1100 <br />MILLSTON ROAD, LOT LINE REARRANGEMENT, 7:05 P.M. – 7:07 P.M. <br /> <br />Irwin Jacobs and Rodney Burwell, Applicants, were present. <br /> <br />Curtis stated this application contemplates a lot line rearrangement between the two properties at 1700 <br />Shoreline Drive and 1100 Millston Road. The applicants are requesting approval to transfer a 2.52 acre <br />portion of the Jacobs property to the Burwell property located at 1100 Millston Road. The lots exceed the <br />minimum lot widths and areas for the LR1-A zoning district and will continue to do so with the lot line <br />rearrangement.
