� � <br /> Council <br /> Exhibit A <br /> A RESOLUTION <br /> APPROVING <br /> A SITE PLAN, AND A HARDCOVER VARIANCE, <br /> AND A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br /> A BUILDING ADDITION <br /> PURSUANT TO ORONO ZONING CODE CHA�'TER 78 DIVISION 4, <br /> AND SECTIONS 78-348 & 78-1700 <br /> FILE NO. 15-3704 <br /> WHEREAS, Oretel Archite�ts, Ltd., (hereinaf�er the "Applicant") has <br /> made an application on behalf of Henr�epin County, the owner (hereinafter the <br /> "Owner") of property located at 3880 Shoreline Drive within the City of Orono <br /> (hereinafter the "City") and legally described as Exhibit A (hereinaft�r "the Property"); <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized and <br /> existing under the laws of the State o#Minnes�a; and <br /> WHEREAS, pur�ant to State Statutes 41� et. seq. and 462 et. seq., the <br /> City Council of the Citjr of Oror�► has adopt�l zoning regi.r(ation for the protection of the <br /> public health, safety and generat welfare; ar�d <br /> WHEREAS, tl� Property aantains existing public service structures and is <br /> located in the LR-1 C one family lakeshore residential district. Public service structures <br /> are an allowed use with�► the LR-1C district by conditional use permit; and <br /> WHEREAS, th�e Owner has operated the maintenance facility on the <br /> Property since 1�2; and <br /> WHERE�0.S, on December 12, 2014, the Applicant made an application <br /> requesting a conditionat use permit and commercial site plan approval to permit the <br /> construction of a 3,224 square foot addition to the existing maintenance building <br /> structure pursuant to Municipal Zoning Code Sections 78-142 and 78-348(7); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicant has also made an application for approval of a <br /> variance from Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1700 in order to allow construction of <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br />
