• MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD JUNE 13, 1988 <br />#1269 NOLAND CONTINUED <br />Councilmember Goetten noted the non - conforming boat <br />house structure near the lake, and felt this structure <br />should not be used as a guest house. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, to adopt Resolution #2444 <br />approving a conditional use permit to allow the guest <br />house use per staff recommendation, subject to no use of <br />the boat house as a guest house. HEIT <br />1153 ELMWOOD AVENUE <br />VARIANCE <br />RESOLUTION #2445 <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained the request <br />for side setback and hardcover variances to construct a <br />second story addition to the existing house. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaffron explained the <br />cantilevered design of the proposal and its impact on <br />hardcover. <br />• Richard Heit was present for this matter and stated that <br />the addition was to provide bedroom space for his <br />elderly parents. He noted the small deck to be <br />constructed from proposed second story which is located <br />over existing hardcover. . <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to adopt Resolution #2445 <br />approving the variances per staff recommendation. <br />Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />#1285 ERIC PAULSON <br />2605 MAPLERIDGE LANE <br />CONDTIONAL USE PERMIT <br />RESOLUTION #2446 <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained the request for <br />a conditional use permit to allow a permanent dock 40' <br />in length to be constructed on the shoreline of <br />Lafayette Bay. <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth noted that de -icing is no <br />longer allowed to protect permanent docks during the <br />winter time. <br />Clifford Reep was present representing the applicant and'. <br />• stated they are aware of the no de -icing regulation. <br />7 <br />
