MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD AUGUST 24, 1987 <br />#1176 RICHARD PUTNAM CONTINUED <br />approved of the revised drafted resolution. <br />Councilmember Goetten noted the numerous variances <br />requested in this application involving a very limited <br />substandard lot which is one reason to carefully review <br />and /or deny. <br />Planning Commissioner Bellows felt that the Planning <br />Commission should review the additional variance before <br />Council takes action. ' <br />It was noted that at applicant's request to avoid a <br />time - consuming tabling, Planning Commission voted 4 -1 to <br />deny the variances noting that additional facts would be <br />needed to fairly consider the average setback issue. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by Councilmember <br />Peterson, that due to the additional information <br />Application #1176 be referred back to the Planning <br />Commission for recommendation. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />#1179 ORONO COMMUNITY CHURCH ' <br />770 & 950 OLD CRYSTAL BAY ROAD SOUTH <br />SUBDIVISION OF A LOT LINE REARRANGEMENT <br />RESOLUTION #2249 <br />Orono Community Church representative Gary Connell was <br />present for this matter. <br />City Administrator Bernhardsori explained the application <br />for a Class I subdivision involving a rearrangement of a <br />lot line between Lots 1 and 2 to accomodate constrcution <br />of additions to the Church structure to meet all current <br />setbacks from the newly created lot line. <br />Councilmember Goetten noted concern that this <br />rearrangement could severly limit any future expansion <br />for the Church. <br />Gary Connell stated that the the church is aware of this <br />fact and are now working on a revised commercial site <br />plan. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Sime, to adopt Resolution #2249 approving <br />the lot line rearrangement per staff recommendations. <br />Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />#1188 CHARLES NADLER <br />2509 KELLY AVENUE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />RESOLUTION <br />This application was held <br />Council meeting (9:01) <br />applicant /representative. <br />ri <br />i <br />over until the end of the <br />awaiting the presence of <br />
