ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES FOR DECEMBER 13, 1999 <br />( #2) 2000 LEVYADOPTION HEARING - Continued • <br />reflected in the tax statements that residents received. A Truth in Taxation Hearing was held <br />on December 6th. <br />Jabbour said that no residents attended the Truth in Taxation Hearing. <br />Kelley moved, Peterson seconded, a motion to approve and adopt Resolution No. 4396 <br />Adopting the Final 1999 Tax Levy Collectible in 2000. Kelley moved, Peterson <br />seconded, a motion to approve and adopt Resolution No. 4397 to Adopt the 2000 <br />General Fund Budget. Kelley moved, Peterson seconded, a motion to approve and <br />adopt Resolution No. 4398 to Adopt the 2000 Special Revenue Funds Budgets. VOTE: <br />Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />( * #3) REGULAR MEETING OF NOVEMBER 22, 1999 <br />Peterson moved, Kelley seconded, to approve the Minutes of the Regular City Council <br />meeting of November 22, 1999, as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />(#4) TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING OF DECEMBER 6, 1999 <br />Sansevere said the minutes should be corrected to note that he did not attend the Truth in • <br />Taxation Hearing on December 6, 1999. <br />Flint moved, Sansevere seconded, to approve the minutes of the Truth in Taxation <br />Hearing of December 6, 1999, as amended. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nay 0. <br />PARK COMMISSION COMMENTS - IRENE SILBER, REPRESENTATIVE <br />Silber informed the Council that Susan Wilson has decided not to seek reappointment to the <br />Park Commission. <br />Silber said that the estimates received for refurbishing Navarre Park were far higher than <br />anticipated and the Park Commission is prioritizing to find the items that would have the most <br />neighborhood impact. They will center their priorities around playground equipment and an <br />accessible path up to the equipment. They are also seeking alternative sources of funding. <br />Jabbour complimented Silber on the Park Commission members' innovation in trying to obtain <br />the City's goals and objectives with a very limited budget. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS - LIZ HAWN, REPRESENTATIVE <br />None. <br />Page 2 <br />El <br />
