MINUTES OF T�TE � � <br /> ORONO PLANI�IING COMMISSION MEETING `������c.�`;�" <br /> Monday,June 19,2006 <br /> 6:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> 7 <br /> indicated they have brought boards displaying the materials they are proposing to utilize on the <br /> buildings. <br /> McJilton stafed they are also looking to do sorne upgrades to the existing building but that the use of the <br /> building was remain basically the same. <br /> McJilton stated the second issue is the roadtvay/right-of-way�vidth for the public street that is being <br /> proposed and would connect to the Morries' property. McJilton stated there was some discussion <br /> concerning the right-of-way during the approval process for the ne�vly adopted industrial ordinance and <br /> it was their understanding they should propose the width of the right-of-way. McJilton stated they are <br /> 70 <br /> proposing a 50-foot right-of-way,with the City recommending a�foot right-of-way, and that they are <br /> in the process of completing a variance application. McJilton indicated the paved section would remain <br /> �^.o W• � <br /> at 32 feet and a 50-foot�s�ackwould allow reasonable access to the property and reasonable use of the <br /> property. Mc7ilton stated they are somewhat challenged given the setbacks to the railroad and the <br /> bridge. <br /> ►�(�y z�►� Qluc�. a cc es s <br /> McJilton stated it is their understanding that the engineer has requested the��-be a right-in/right-out <br /> ACfQSS <br /> but that it was their understanding the x�esd would remain as full access until the road and median was <br /> constructed,which would allow Western Steel to sti11 have access, and that it would at that time go to a <br /> qcc�5 S <br /> right-in/right-out. McJilton stated if this xead is limited to a right-in/right-out,there would be no access <br /> off of Old Crystal Bay Road �'O�` <br /> Gld C�'��°'��� <br /> McJilton stated the third issue is limiting the�access to a right-in/right-out. Based on the traffic study <br /> thafi was com�leted, it does not warrant limiting the access to a right-in/right-out, and they would <br /> request the driveway be a full access. <br /> McJilton indicated the final issue deals with drainage and that they are working with MnDot as it relates <br /> to the pond. McJilton indicated they have presented that data to Morries last weelc. <br /> McJilton indicated they concur�vith staff to move this application fonvard to the City Council, <br /> Rahn opened the public hearing at 7:44 p.m. <br /> � � PAGE 17 <br />
