Since our last communication, we have been <br /> informed that we need to add an elevator. The amended variance information is on the attached <br /> plans, and summarized below. <br /> • Originally presented single story option; requesting ability to add a second story. <br /> o Space would be built in the future with either one additional classroom, or an <br /> assembly area. <br /> o Students per classroom = 15 <br /> • Originally expansion foot print was width of existing building x 30'; requesting same <br /> width with 45' projection to allow for the addition of a fire-protected stair tower. <br /> o This is for life-safety purposes, and not incremental students or program space. <br /> � • Drawings now have exiting and ADA requirements clearly identified. <br /> o New front entry extends to street side approx. 11'x 11' <br /> o Elevator shaft extends to Art Center side approx. 7' x 26' <br /> We are planning to start building early April, and really need this to be considered on your March <br /> agenda. Again, I am sorry we did not receive your deadline, and appreciate any lenience you <br /> can muster.
