Heat resistant sealant shall be equal to Tremco's <br /> Spectrum 2 medium modulus high performance silicone. <br /> 12) Touch-up pint for color-coated sheet metal shall be color matched as recommended and supplied by <br /> the sheet metal manufacturer. <br /> 13) Sheet metal installation shall, as a minimum, be in accordance with recommendation of Factory <br /> Mutual Loss Prevention Data Sheet 1-49, June 1985. <br /> 14) Shop fabricate all items requiring soldering or welding, unless noted otherwise. <br /> 15) Soldered joints of color-coated sheet metal are to be recoated with material and in manner specified <br /> be manufacturer. <br /> 16) Sheet metal work shall be of material and gauge specified, and shaped to instatl in strict <br /> conformance with details on Drawings. <br /> 17) Plane surface shall be free from waves or buckles. <br /> 18) All exposed metal edges to be turned back into hemmed edge. <br /> 19) Use elastomeric sealant where necessary to make a watertight installation, including foam backer <br /> rod where necessary to make a good sealant joint. <br /> 20) Screw fasteners are to be turned into place rather than driven. <br /> 21) Facia, Coping, Cap Flashing, Counterflashing and Keeper Strips: provide preformed, soldered cap <br /> flashing extending out 1'-0" maximum in each direction at corners and intersections of new sheet <br /> metal cap flashings, or provide locked, folded vertical corner with lapped inside corner sealed with <br /> elastometic sealant, fastened with screws or rivets. <br /> 22) All intersecting counterflashings, except fascia counterflashings, are to be lapped 3" minimum, <br /> securely fastened, and fully sealed with an elastomeric sealant. <br /> 23) Outer edge of cap flashing of roof edges to be fastened with continuous keeper strip fastened to <br /> blocking, as shown on drawings. <br /> 24) All counterflashing corners are to be fastened with pop-rivets or screws and be sealed with sealant: <br /> or a locked, folded corner is to be provided on vertical corners. <br /> 25) Pipe Box Flashing: See SMACNA's detail 4-14A on Page 4.28 of SMACNA's manual. <br /> 26) Alignment and elevation of installed sheet metal will be checked by Owner's representative and be <br /> roofing contractor. <br /> 129 N.
