Water proofing to be Bituthene, or equal. <br /> Provide protection board. <br /> Metal Roofinq <br /> 1) Supply and install a metal (standing seam) roof system as selected by Owner. Material shall be <br /> Galvalume or as specified by Owner. <br /> 2) "Ice and Water Shield"will be installed in areas subject to moisture infiltration such as eaves, valleys <br /> and along any walls that meet roof slopes and extending 6 inches up the walls. <br /> 3) One layer of red rosin paper will be mechanically fastened over the underlayments. The red rosin will <br /> act as a slip sheet between the metal panels and the underlayments. <br /> 4) Provide all keeper strips, flashing, etc. as needed for proper installation. <br /> 5) Venting shall be provided at all ridges. <br /> Flashinq & Sheet Metal <br /> 1) Furnish all necessary materials, labor and equipment for the complete installation of flashing and <br /> sheet metal as shown on the drawings and specified herein. <br /> 2) Reference standard: Architectural Sheet Metal Manual, Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning <br /> Contractor's National Association. <br /> 3) Fasteners to be the same metal as material being fastened. Stainless steel otherwise; screws for <br /> aluminum shall be stainless steel. <br /> 4) Fasteners such as nails, screws, bolts, etc., shall be of same materials as flashing on which they are <br /> used. They shall be of type ad size as shown on Drawings or specified herein. All fasteners exposed <br /> to the weather shall have neoprene washers under heads to ensure watertightness. <br /> 5) Sheet Metal to Wood: Screws shall be zinc or cadmiun plated No. 8 minimum size and of sufficient <br /> length to penetrate 1-1/4" into wood. Installed withdrawal resistance shall be a minimum of 150 Ibs. <br /> Per screw. <br /> 6) Sheet Metal to Sheet Metal: Self-tapping zinc or cadium plated steel metal screws of'/z" length and <br /> a No. 3 minimum size. <br /> 7) Neoprene Washers: Neoprene laminated to metal washer, equal to"Weatherseal" as manufactured <br /> by Fabco.
