09250 Wallboard and Accessories <br /> A. Provide, install and finish drywall at interior ceilings and walls as shown on the Drawings and specified herein: <br /> 1. Finish all rooms, except mechanical/storage rooms in the Lower Level. <br /> 2. Provision, installation and finishing of tile backer board (cement board) at all walls and ceilings scheduled <br /> to receive ceramic tile is work of Section 09300 TILE. <br /> B. Wallboard Materials: <br /> 1. Gypsum Board: ASTM C 36; long edges tapered; natural-finish face paper; suitable for paint, <br /> wallcovering or other decoration: <br /> a. Thickness: 5/8 inch, unless otherwise shown on the Drawings <br /> b. Screws: ASTM C 1002; Type W, for wood framing. Provide of sufficient size to securely anchor <br /> wallboard to framing, and as recommended by the wallboard manufacturer. <br /> 2. Metal Beads and Trim for Gypsum Board: Types and sizes to suit Project conditions. <br /> 3. Finishing Materials: <br /> a. Joint Reinforcing Tape: Cross-fibered paper; feathered edges; random perforations; pre-creased <br /> b. Joint Compound: ASTM C 475; non-asbestos; conventionally drying-type; ready-mixed or mixing <br /> powder; for tape bedding and finishing. Provide compound types required for Project conditions and <br /> as recommended by the manufacturer. <br /> C. Install fire-rated panels (Type X) where shown on the Drawings, or as required at fire-resistive walls and <br /> ceilings. <br /> D. Gypsum Board Finishing: Spot exposed fasteners on face layers and finish corner beads,joints and trim with <br /> minimum three (3) coats of joint compound: <br /> 1. Ceilings: <br /> a. Skim-coat all ceilings at the Main and Upper Levels as required to provide smooth finish appropriate <br /> for indirect lighting. <br /> b.
