06210 Exterior Finish Carpentry Materials <br /> A. Provide all materials required for exterior finish carpentry as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. <br /> B. Installation of exterior finish carpentry materials is work of Section 06211 EXTERIOR FINISH CARPENTRY <br /> LABOR. <br /> C. Finish Carpentry Materials: <br /> 1. Underlayments: <br /> a. Building Paper: ASTM D 4869; 15 Ib. asphalt-saturated felt; one (1) layer over all walls to receive <br /> wood siding <br /> b. Air Barrier: "Tyvek Wind Wrap" (DuPont) or equal; over areas without solid panel sheathing. <br /> Z. Gable Louvers: Round; ventilating; clear western red cedar; smooth finish; custom cedar casing as <br /> shown on the Drawings: <br /> a. "AWSCO Cedar Louvers" (Independent Millwork) or equal; with rain guard baffles and interior mesh <br /> screen. <br /> 3. Continuous Soffit Vents: Aluminum; prefinished "Black"; approximately two inches (2") wide. <br /> 4. Wood Soffits: 5/8 inch thick western red cedar plywood; APA Rated Siding; brushed texture. <br /> 5. Wood Siding: No. 1 Grade, vertical grain, western red cedar shingles; factory-applied to 5/16 inch thick, <br /> Exposure 1, plywood panels; over fiberglass felt: <br /> a. "Cedar Valley Shingle System" (Canton Lumber Co.); or equal and approved <br /> b. Three (3) course at 7-1/8 inch exposure; seven (7) panels per square; square regular-butt <br /> c. Wood Trim: Western Red Cedar; A-Grade; select; kiln dried; provide or fabricate to sizes and profiles <br /> shown on the Drawings; finger-jointing is acceptable: <br /> a. Saw-sized with medium texture - rough-sawn and smooth surfaced materials will not be acceptable <br /> b. Finger-jointing for longer pieces is acceptable—trim will be coated with solid stain finish. <br /> 7. Wood Decks: <br /> a. Structure: Treated lumber <br /> b. Decking: 2x6 western red cedar; S4S EE: <br /> — "Architect Knotty" (Canton Lumber Co.) or equal <br /> c. Rails: Clear; D & Better Grade; western red cedar; S4S; sizes and profiles shown on the Drawings. <br /> 8. Ornamental Columns: Fiberglass-reinforced polymer; with matching polyurethane bases and capitals: <br /> a. "Poly-Classic" (Turncraft) or equal and approved <br /> b. Tuscan tapered, smooth shaft columns; with Tuscan bases and capitals. <br /> 9. Metal Flashing: Minimum 24 ga.; hot-dipped galvanized; bonderized; sheet metal; pre-painted on <br /> exposed sides with Kynar-based flouropolymer coating of 1.0 mil total dry film thickness: <br /> a.
