06211 Exterior Finish Carpentry Labor <br /> A. Perform all attached and detached finish carpentry work at the exterior of the building, as shown on the <br /> Drawings and specified herein: <br /> 1. Installation of: <br /> a. Underlayments (building paper/air barrier) at walls and soffits <br /> b. Exterior doors and frames <br /> c. Exterior Windows <br /> d. Louvers and vents <br /> e. Wood siding, soffits and trim <br /> f. Metal flashing at decks, siding, soffits and trim <br /> g. Deck structure, decking and rails <br /> h. Ornamental columns <br /> i. Caulking. <br /> B. Provision of materials for exterior finish carpentry is work of other sections of the Technical Sections: <br /> 1. Section 05500 METAL FABRICATION MATERIALS <br /> 2. Section 06210 EXTERIOR FINISH CARPENTRY MATERIALS <br /> 3. Section 07620 SHEET METAL FLASHING AND TRIM <br /> 4. Section 08050 DOORS AND FRAMES <br /> 5. Section 08550 CLAD WOOD WINDOWS, DOORS AND FRAMES <br /> 6. Section 08621 CLAD WOOD SKYLIGHTS. <br /> C. Underlayments: <br /> 1. Building Paper: Install one (1) layer over all walls and soffits with solid panel sheathing. <br /> 2. Air Barrier: Install one (1) layer over areas without solid panel sheathing. <br /> D. Exterior poor Frames and Windows: <br /> 1. Nail frame flanges to sheathing, over sealant, in accordance with frame manufacturer's <br /> recommendations. <br /> 2. Install 12 inch wide strips of waterproof roofing underlayment (Ice & Water Shield) over flanges and <br /> sheathing around perimeter of frame— lapping head over jambs over sill. <br /> E. Provide additional blocking at roof overhangs as may be required for continuous soffit vent and plywood <br /> siding. <br /> F. Install prefinished metal flashing as shown on the Drawings and as may be required for completely weather- <br /> tight installations. <br /> G. E�erior Decks: <br /> 1. Construct deck structures with posts, beams, joists and blocking required for design intent and building <br /> code compliance. Provide all connections, metal hangers, tie-down anchors, and accessories required <br /> for complete installation. <br /> 2. Fabricate special rail shapes as shown on the Drawings <br /> 3. Install decking with minimum, uniform gap between boards, and with hot-dipped galvanized or stainless <br /> steel screws of gauge and length required for Project conditions. <br /> H. Install ornamental columns over structural posts, in strict accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. <br /> I. Install panelized cedar shingle siding in accflrdance with manufacturer's recommendations with respect to <br /> fasteners, panel ship-lap joints and prefabricated corners. <br /> J.
