While preliminary indications were they may tear <br />down the barns, this will not be known until they respond to the <br />hazardous building proceedings. Additionally the City is now <br />dealing with the estate rather than the resident to clean-up the <br />property. <br />3960 Sixth Avenue Couth - The title search has been completed on <br />this property, however, they are searching for one property owner <br />for notification. Once this party has been located the <br />proceedings will b,� filed with the property owners and the Court. <br />3536 Lyric Avenue - To date no response has been received from <br />the owner of the property and absent a response this will be <br />scheduled for hearing on May 11, 1987. (The owner has received <br />the notice for response via certified mail at an address in <br />Owatonna.) <br />2160 Wayzata Boulevard - Fuel Leakage - On April 1, 1987 Jeanne <br />Mabusth received a call of a strong smell of gasoline at the <br />Orono Shopping Center. She immediately contacted the Orono <br />Police department, who in turn contacted the Fire Department. <br />Upon arival the strong ordor of gas was noted and Metro Waste <br />Control was called in to check out their lines. At 2:00 o'clock <br />in the afternoon the Pollution Control Agency was on the scene <br />and took charge of the operation. The source of the gasoline in <br />the ground, which appears might be a considerable amount, has not <br />been determined at this point. The PCA continues to work on the <br />situation with the building owner to ascertain the source of the <br />contamination. <br />Administrator's Goal Setting Status - Attached please find the <br />goal status as of -The end of r7arch. <br />Insurance Information - Summary of Insurance Coverage. <br />The �7ity of Orono receives the bulk of its insurance through the <br />Leaque of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCI'r) which is a <br />self insurance pool that is comprised of 756 of the 854 Cities <br />belonging to the League. This coverage is administered by North <br />Star Risk Services. This City has utilized the services of Dewey <br />Carlson of. Apple Valley Insurance as its agent for this insurance <br />the past four years. <br />The City of Orono went to using the Trust when traditional <br />insurance companies began avoiding municipalities in the early <br />90's. Most of the municipalities went to the League Trust either <br />because the League offered i lower price than their current <br />carrier or they would receive no quotations whatsoever. Tho only <br />municipalities currently with commercial companies are ones that <br />have been with these companir�i for a number of year:;. rl-,?ner311y <br />these communities are unahle to get coverage ^r quotations from <br />:any other commercial insurance company. <br />2 <br />
