This means that the <br />insurance company responsible for a claim is the one who is <br />curLent carrier at the time of the claim (as opposed to the <br />"occurance" of the alleged act.) 1987 is the first year Orono <br />has switched from occurance to claims made. (This switch was a <br />general one for the Trust and is a trend in the industry.) <br />Errors and Omissions insurance is what was previously known as <br />"Public officials" policy is responsible for coverage when there <br />is a claim for damage as a result of an act by a public official <br />where the damage requested is other than bodily (physical) or <br />personnel (liable, slander, denial of civil rights) (These are <br />generally covered under the General I,i.-ibility coverage.) If <br />there is a suit against the City for an act that does not request <br />damages, this insurance would not respond for coverage defense. <br />(An example is a suit that only requests the overturn of a <br />"Legislative" decision of the COUnci l with no damages asked.) <br />Parties covered by tho insurance at- generally the City and its <br />3 <br />
