French advised that there has been no ch�oige or progress in the negotiations for park purchase of the Vetter property. He is to let staff know of any progress by March 9, 1978, for consideration by Council. Staff - March 13, 1978 Received call from Denny Kilbane (part owner) advising that the Park District is to proceed with the purchase - subdivision request may be withdrawn. Staff - March 16, 1978 Clifford French visited me in the City iffices and informed me that the above is indeed the case, although no papers have been signed. Council fleeting - March 16, 1978 No one present for this item. Council heard the above information and tabled item until applicants ask to reopen the request. Applicant is so notified. Letter from Alan Olson to Mr. Durwell Vetter dated !larch 17, 1978, states: "This letter is to advise you that the Orono City Council has tabled this item until such time that you as the applicant should request reappearance to pursue the matter. The lack of appearance before the Council last evening tends to confirm the City's understanding that the subdivision request is to be withdrawn due to sale of the property to the Park Reserve District." Council Meeting - March 30, 1978 Mr. Alan Olson also noted that Mr. Gridley has requested that this matter be postponed for 30 days. Mr. Dick Benson, City Administrator, noted that Mr. Greg Mack, Hennepin County Park Reserve District, had called today an., ed that Mr. Vetter withdrew his application for ision and was going to sell to the Park District.
