You IN. <br />Get involved with your family in e <br />winter/sprin3 activity offered by <br />the Hopkins -Minnetonka Recrea- <br />tion Department. <br />Cross Country Ski Lessons — <br />Lessons are held on three Satur- <br />days —January 10, 17 and 24. <br />Rental equipment is available. Pre- <br />registration is required. <br />Swim Lessons and Splash — <br />Classes are offered at Hopkins <br />West Junior High starting January <br />6. Tuesday/Thursday classes and <br />Saturday classes are available for <br />adults and youths. Splash times are <br />Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. <br />- 8:20 p.m., 50 cents per person, <br />and Saturdays, 2.:30 p.m. - 3:20 <br />p.m., free. <br />Exercise Classes for Adults — <br />Classes offered are Body to the <br />Ma;., Aerobics Plus and Slimnastics. <br />.:all the Recreation Department <br />for details, 935-1788. <br />Youth Wrestling — An intense <br />youth wrestling program will begin <br />March 6 for students in grades 4, 5 <br />and 6. Qast is $8. C ,alified instruc- <br />tors are needed. Watch for infor- <br />mation in this newsletter and <br />through the elementary schools. <br />Police officers Mike Olson, <br />Minnetonka, and David Tecklaw, <br />Hopkins, will appear with McGruff <br />the Crime Dog a; the Cops 'n Kids <br />programs. <br />. fni <br />Indoor Soccer — Twu adult and <br />one youth session of indoor soccer <br />will again be offered this year. The <br />first adult session begins January <br />11 with games played on Sundays. <br />Call to see if there is still space <br />available on a team. Spring sessions <br />begin March 7. The registration <br />deadline for the adult session <br />is February 25, for youths, <br />January 30. Cost is $16.50 per <br />person. If the registrant already <br />has the official Recreation <br />Department soccer T-shirt <br />(reversible blue and gold), the fee <br />it, $10. Stop in at the Recreation <br />Department to register. <br />Ice Skating Rinks — Rinks will be <br />open until February 16 (weather <br />permitting).
