9-12-86 (REVISOR ( PER/JP 87-0064 <br />1 regulations of the respective agencies and governing bodies <br />2 vested with jurisdiction and authority thereunder, the lake <br />3 conservation district shall have the following powers: <br />4 (a) To regulate the types of beets watercraft and require <br />5 permits for watercraft permitted to use the lake and set service <br />6 and permit fees; <br />7 (b) To regulate, maintain and police public beaches, public <br />8 docks and other public facilities for access to the lake within <br />9 the territory of the municipalities, provided that any <br />10 municipality by ordinance duly adopted within one year <br />11 thereafter and specifically referring to such action may <br />12 supersede the same within such municipality; <br />13 (c) To limit by rule the use of the lake at various times <br />14 and the use of various parts of the lake; <br />n <br />15 (d) To regulate the speed of boats on the lake and the <br />16 conduct of other activities on the lake to secure the safety of <br />17 the public and the most general public use; <br />18 (e) To contract with other law enforcement agencies to <br />19 police the lake and its shore; <br />20 (f) To regulate the construction, installation and <br />21 maintenance of permanent and temporary docks and moorings <br />22 consistent with federal and state law; <br />23 (g) To regulate the construction and use of mechanical and <br />24 chemical means of de-icing the lake and to regulate the <br />25 mechanical and chemical means of removal of weeds and algae from <br />26 the lake; <br />27 (h) To regulate the construction, configuration, size, <br />28 location and maintenance of commercial marinas and their related <br />29 facilities includino parking areas and sanitary facilities. The <br />30 regulation shall be consistent with the applicable municipal <br />31 building codes and zoning ordinances where said marinas are <br />32 situated; <br />33 (i) To contract with other governmental bc-lies to perform <br />34 any of the functions of the district; <br />35 (j) To undertake research tc determine the condition and <br />36 development of the lake and the water enter .ig it and to <br />2 <br />
