MINNETONKA POWER SQUADRON BYLAWS <br />Page 10 <br />Section 6.03 The EDUCATIONAL OFFICER shall assist the <br />Commander in the discharge of his duties and shall be the head of <br />the Squadron's Educational Department. The Educational Officer <br />shall perform such duties as are prescribed for this office by <br />the policy and authority of USPS. At the expiration of his term <br />of office he shall turn over to his successor a complete set of <br />all records, reports, communications, and documents relating to <br />the affairs of the Squadron. <br />Section 6.04 The ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER shall assist the <br />Commander in the discharge of his duties and in the temporary <br />absence or incapacity of the Executive Officer act in his place <br />and stead. He shall succeed to the office of Executive Officer <br />should a vacancy occur in that office other than by expiration of <br />term of office. He shall be responsible to the Membership, the <br />Executive Committee, and the Commander for all committees under <br />his supervision, generally those assigned to the Administrative <br />Department by the policy and authority of USPS. He shall be an <br />ex officio member of all such committees. At the expiration of <br />his term of office he shall turn over to his successor a complete <br />set of all records, reports, communications, and documents <br />relating to the affairs of the Squadron. <br />Section 6.05 <br />6.05.1 <br />Bylaws. <br />The SECRETARY shall <br />Have custody of all corporate records and <br />6.05.2 Attest to written instruments when so <br />directed by the Executive Committee. <br />6.05.3 Keep a record of all proceedings of the <br />Squadron and of the Executive Committee, of the <br />attendance at Executive Committee meetings, and of all <br />matters of which a record may be deemed advisable, in <br />books belonging to the Squadron, which records shall, at <br />all reasonable times, be open to inspection by any Active <br />Member of the Squadron. No detailed records relating to <br />votes on invitations to membership shall be kept. <br />6.05.4 Keep an up-to-date record of all Members of <br />TiieSquadron, including for each Member his name, <br />address, telephone number-, certificate date and number, <br />type of membership, rank, grade, Merit Marks, Senior <br />-10- <br />MINNETONKA POWER SQUADRON BYLAWS <br />Page 11 <br />Membership date, vessel data, and other pertinent <br />information deemed advisable. <br />6.05.5 Keep, file, and preserve all documents, <br />records, reports and official correspondence connected <br />with the business of the Squadron. <br />6.05.6 Notify the Secretary of USPS of the names and <br />addresses of Members elected to the Squadron of any <br />change in membership or addresses of Members and of the <br />election of officers. <br />6,05.7 Send the required notices of all Squadron <br />aiia"rxecutive Committee meetings and all lists of <br />candidates for office to be voted upon at any election. <br />6.05.8 Make a report at the Annual Meeting and at <br />such other times as the Commander or the Executive <br />Committee may request. <br />6.05.9 Perform such other appropriate duties as may <br />oe'ii's'signed to him by the Commander of the Executive <br />Committee or as may be required by the policy and <br />authority of USPS. <br />6.05.10 At the expiration of his term of office, turn <br />over to his successor a complete set of all records, <br />books, reports, communications, and documents relating to <br />the affairs of the Squadron. <br />Section 6,06 The TREASURER shall <br />6.06.1 Hold, in the name of the Squadron, all monies <br />received by him and belonging to the Squadron, including, <br />but not limited to, dues, fees, educational charges, <br />supplies, advertising income, and any funds turned over <br />to him from meetings, dinners and other functions <br />sponsored by the Squadron. <br />6.06.2 Pay all bills contracted by the Squadron <br />wliicllshall first by approved by the Executive Committee, <br />the head of a department, or by the chairman of a <br />committee which has contracted the same by virtue of <br />appropriations made by the Executive Committee or by the <br />approved budget. <br />-1 l-
